Tech Editing
I can check your design to help you ensure it’s an enjoyable knit, whatever the level. You want your knitters to return to you for other patterns, so let me help you to give them a pattern that will keep them coming back for more. Whether it’s shawls and scarves, socks, toys or jumpers – if you can design it, I can tech edit it.
I will check every aspect of your design; whether it’s ensuring the pattern works, checking stitch counts for accuracy, spotting possible typos or spelling mistakes.
When you have spent a long time designing and writing up your pattern, you may find that you see what you expect to see. This is where I can help you. Working as your tech editor, I will be looking at your pattern with fresh eyes – your design is new to me, I don’t know how many stitches there are on each row, so I don’t know what to expect. It is often easier for those fresh eyes to spot any errors or typos.
Your style is important to you. While I will check your patterns for any inaccuracies, I will not change your style – after all, this is what has drawn knitters to your patterns.
Proofreading
Proofreading is the final stage of writing and is done once your text has been edited – editing and proofreading are two different yet equally important processes.
As your proofreader, I will meticulously review your content looking for spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. Proofreading helps turn a final draft into a perfectly polished, ready-to-go-live draft.
I can work on your text whether it is fiction or non-fiction, printed or online.
